Walk Now for Autism- NY. Pls help this great cause.
this is a repost from a forum I belong to, that a personal friend of mine made.He has a sister that Autistic and is participating in an event to raise awareness for Autism. Michael has a heart of gold and is continually helping to care for his sister.
Here is his post, and links to both more information on how to donate, as well as participate in the event. Any reposts would be greatly appreciated!
”On June 22nd, Autism Speaks is holding a Fundraising Walk in New York City at South Street Seaport. As many of you guys here know, my little sister has Autism, and I’ve always been active in the community to being about awareness and funds, both for research purposes and to offer those with this disorder recreational and residential services.
Now, I’m going to be putting two links here. One is for my personal page for the fundraiser itself, where donations can be made, and the other is the home page for the Walk itself, where people in the NY or NJ or, really, any area, who’s willing to register and come down to walk and show support, can sign up.
Naturally, I don’t expect anyone to donate money unless they freely wish to, and the same goes for donating their time to come down and support the cause. If you choose to? Fantastic, and I’d appreciate that to the ends of the earth. If not? Maybe you’ll just spread the awareness, or give the link out to someone else who might want to donate. That’s good enough for me. =)
